Welcome!

OpenDoor2694

We come from many different paths to gather here, for wide is God's welcome, and you are welcome here.

  • If you believe in God some of the time or none of the time or all of the time, you are welcome here.
  • If you are happy or sad, rich or poor, powerful or weak ...
  • If you are young, or just young at heart, you are welcome here.
  • If you are married, single, partnered, divorced, or widowed ...
  • If you are gay or straight, or a little of each ...
  • If you are a man or a woman, or a little of each ...
  • If you don't see or hear or move so well, you are welcome here.

Your presence here is a gift that challenges us to open our doors as wide as God's welcome.

No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey you are welcomed here by the God who made you and loves you just the way you are and loves you enough to challenge you to keep growing toward that person God made you to be.

Physical distancing Social solidarity Maintaining emotional and spiritual connection during a time of physical isolation

Our buildings are currently closed for all in-person gatherings. While we cannot meet face to face, we continue to use technology to remain connected. You are encouraged to connect with us in the following ways:

A Facebook account is not needed to view our page, where worship streams live on Sundays at 10:30 and previous worship videos are archive. If you have an account, please like our page so you will see our activity. This an active and interactive page. It is the primary way we have maintained connection between Sundays even before this time of physical separation

Zoom video meetings are where we will gather for worship. This allows us to see and/or hear one another. We hope you will join us.

  • You do NOT need a Zoom account to join a meeting.
  • You do NOT need a camera on your smart phone or PC/Mac to join a meeting.  You can still participate using your computer’s audio system or via your phone (call the number in the meeting invitations, but note this may be a toll call if you are not using a cell phone).
  • To join a meeting from your computer or smart phone, simply click on the Zoom meeting link (https://zoom.us/j/4402563329) in the invitation.  A new window will open Zoom in your internet browser and you need to click on “Open Zoom.”
  • If you are early, and the host has not yet started the meeting, you will see this message: "Please wait for host to start meeting."
  • When the meeting starts (or you join after the meeting has started), you may see a message that you are in “the Waiting Room”.  A meeting host will be monitoring the meeting and admit you to the meeting.
  • That’s it…you are in the meeting!  Initially, your microphone will be muted (this is controlled by the host) but during parts of the service or meeting, all microphones will be unmuted so that we all may talk and interact.
  • The meeting start time will be 15-30 minutes prior to the start of the service so that, if you wish, you may familiarize yourself with the different meeting controls available to each user. The host will be available to tutor you.

We also maintain Twitter and Instagram accounts. We hope you will follow us there as well.
