As a congregation of the United Church of Christ, we affirm that the church exists to bring healing to the world and to spread God’s radical love.

We believe that peace and justice are the heart of God’s plan for humanity.

Because of this belief, we

  • Continually educate ourselves on social, government and economic systems that oppress, both in the U.S. and around         the world, so we can seek reform.

  • Work to reduce fear and hatred, so all may live in safety.

  • Promote care for the earth, God's amazing creation, so all life may be sustained and environmental hardship is not inflicted on the poor and marginalized.

  • Advocate for equitable distribution of resources, so all may live with dignity.

  • Strive to create a world where all people are loved, valued, and treated equitably.

To this end we, as members, families and church groups will strive:

  • to live in friendship, fairness and non-violence;

  • to be alert in responding to conditions that threaten human community and well-being;

  • to hold ourselves accountable for the effect our policies and actions have on God’s purpose.

Through continued guidance of the Holy Spirit, we shall seek to grow as a Just Peace Church through continued prayer, education and service.
